Tell me what youare trying to achieve.

Not what you think you need built. Those two are almost never the same sentence, and the gap between them is where the useful part of the conversation happens.

Fixed scope suits a defined problem with an end state: a launch, a reposition, a rebuild. You get the brief, the build and the handover.

02 — Process

How the workactually runs.

An idea becomes a strategy. A strategy becomes a product. A product becomes a business. And a business, if you build it properly, becomes something that creates value without you standing over it.

01 — The uncomfortable second conversation
Ask a business what it wants and you get a list of pages. Ask what it is trying to achieve and who has to be convinced and what is currently getting in the way, and you usually find the website was the third most important thing on the list. Week one is that conversation, on purpose, before anything is scoped.
02 — Structure
Taking something that exists only in someone’s head and giving it edges. Positioning, message architecture and the shape of the thing, written down in a brief precise enough that a build team can disagree with it.
03 — Build
Delivery runs through Vavinix: design, development, branding and search, with a team covering creative, design, project management, growth and client support. Server-rendered HTML, real performance budgets, schema that validates clean.
04 — Stay on
A website is not a delivery, it is a thing that has to survive contact with a business that keeps changing. Care plans exist because the version that shipped is never the version that matters in year two.

03 — Fit

Who this is for,and who it is not.

A meeting table still life: a document face down, a fountain pen, folded glasses, black coffee

A good fit

  • You want someone who will push back on the brief before agreeing to it.
  • You are building a business, not ordering a deliverable.
  • You would rather hear the objection now than discover it in month four.

Not a fit

  • You want an order-taker with a template and a two-day turnaround.
  • The decision is already made and the brief is closed.

Most failure is not caused by doing the wrong thing. It is caused by doing nine things, all of them reasonably well.
